Terms of Use

Last updated 22 October 2026

These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of AriaPass, a ticketing platform operated by OwenaHub for musical events in Nigeria. By creating an account, buying a ticket, or setting up a show as an organiser, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use AriaPass.

1. What AriaPass is

AriaPass is a marketplace that connects show-goers with organisers of concerts, jazz nights, classical performances and similar musical events, and lets organisers sell tickets and manage those sales online. AriaPass is not the organiser of any show listed on the platform — each event is created, run and delivered by its own organiser, who is solely responsible for it.

2. Accounts

You can browse shows without an account, but buying a ticket or creating a show requires one. If you check out as a guest, we automatically create an account for you using the name and email you provide, so your tickets and orders are always easy to find.

You're responsible for keeping your login details secure and for all activity that happens under your account. Let us know immediately at hello@ariapass.africa if you think someone else has accessed it.

3. Buying tickets

  • Payments are processed securely by Paystack. We never see or store your card details.
  • Tickets are emailed to you immediately after a successful payment and are also available under Orders in your account.
  • A ticket is a license to attend the specific event it was issued for — it doesn't transfer any ownership or broader rights.
  • Depending on the organiser's settings, a service fee may be added on top of the ticket price. It covers AriaPass's service fee, charged once per order, and Paystack's card processing fee. It's shown as a separate line before you pay, never changes the organiser's listed ticket price, and isn't charged on free orders.

4. Refunds, cancellations & rescheduling

A buyer may request a refund for a paid order within 5 days of purchase, and before the show starts, whichever comes first, from Orders in their account. Whether to approve or deny that request belongs to the show's organiser — AriaPass facilitates the request and, where approved, processes the actual refund through Paystack, but doesn't independently guarantee a refund or override an organiser's decision. Where a refund is approved, the full amount paid for the order, including any service fee, is returned through Paystack to the original payment method. Once 5 days have passed since purchase, or the show has started, a refund can no longer be requested through AriaPass. If a show is cancelled, the 5-day window from purchase still applies.

Cancellation and rescheduling decisions for a show likewise belong to that show's organiser. If an event is cancelled or you need help with a refund request outside the normal window, contact us with your order reference and we'll do what we reasonably can to coordinate with the organiser on your behalf.

5. Organisers

  • You're responsible for the accuracy of your show listing, and for holding any licenses, permits or venue approvals your event needs.
  • Ticket sales are credited to your AriaPass wallet as they come in. Payouts to your bank account are made on request, not automatically, are reviewed before being sent, and we may ask you to verify your identity before your first payout is approved.
  • To cover the buyer's refund window described in Section 4, the portion of your wallet balance from sales that can still be refunded isn't yet available to withdraw. Each sale becomes withdrawable once its refund window closes: 5 days after purchase, or when the show starts if that's sooner.
  • AriaPass charges a commission on ticket sales, shown on your show's dashboard before you publish, and a service fee on each paid order. You choose whether the fees (AriaPass's service fee and Paystack's processing fee) are paid by buyers, absorbed by you, or split. Fees you absorb are deducted from your sales along with the commission, and itemised in your wallet.
  • You're responsible for delivering the event as listed, and for handling attendee issues (entry, seating, refunds) in good faith.
  • You may invite team members to help run a show — for example, to check tickets in at the door. You're responsible for what your team members do with the access you grant them, and can remove that access at any time.
  • Some tools, including Arias (video teasers) and Highlights (photos on your organiser page), are part of the paid AriaPass Spotlight subscription. If your subscription ends, the Arias and Highlights you posted stay on your page for 60 days and are then permanently deleted unless you renew before then. We'll email you the date when your subscription ends.

6. Reviews & other user content

Ticket buyers may post a rating and review of a show, publicly, privately to the organiser, or anonymously. A review must be your own honest account of your experience — don't post anything false, defamatory, or posted on someone else's behalf. Organisers may upload show banners, event programmes, promotional video clips and photos; you're responsible for making sure you have the rights to anything you upload, and it must not infringe someone else's rights or violate Section 7 (Prohibited conduct). If you believe a review or other piece of content violates these Terms, report it to hello@ariapass.africa rather than another user's account — we'll review it and take action where appropriate.

7. Prohibited conduct

You agree not to:

  • List a fake, misleading or unauthorised event, or misrepresent who's organising it;
  • Use bots, scripts or automated means to buy tickets in bulk for resale;
  • Attempt to defraud AriaPass, an organiser, or another user;
  • Upload content you don't have the right to use, or that infringes someone else's rights;
  • Interfere with the platform's normal operation or attempt to access accounts or data that aren't yours.

We may suspend or close accounts that violate these Terms, remove listings, or withhold payouts while we investigate a report of fraud or abuse. If we suspend an organiser account, its identity verification is reset, and the organiser will need to verify again once the suspension is lifted before requesting a payout.

8. Intellectual property

The AriaPass name, logo and platform are owned by OwenaHub. Organisers keep ownership of the content they upload for their shows (banners, descriptions, programmes) but grant AriaPass a license to display it on the platform for the purpose of promoting and selling tickets to that show.

9. Third-party services

Payments on AriaPass are processed by Paystack, and we may use other third-party providers for things like email and SMS delivery. We're not responsible for outages or issues caused by these providers that are outside our reasonable control.

10. Disclaimers & limitation of liability

AriaPass is provided "as is." We work to keep the platform reliable and secure, but we don't guarantee it will be error-free or uninterrupted. To the extent permitted by law, AriaPass's liability for any claim relating to your use of the platform is limited to the amount of fees you paid to AriaPass in connection with the transaction giving rise to the claim.

11. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time as AriaPass evolves. If we make a material change, we'll update the date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, let you know. Continuing to use AriaPass after a change means you accept the updated Terms.

12. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
